MAKING MAKIMONOS CLASS $90 + HST = $101.70

This is a wildly fun, interactive and intimate in-person public class, conducted LIVE with TV personality and award-winning author Chef Sang at our beautiful Etobicoke, ON facility. Chef Sang teaches you the 4 classic styles of makimono sushi rolls. Each participant makes a total of 4 rolls, eating as you go, so food is ample. Vegetarian option is also available (see below). Maximum 24 participants per class.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A CLASS?

All upcoming month’s in-person class dates are posted on the 15th of the current month. There are usually 4-5 classes per month. However, due to Chef Sang’s shooting schedule for his TV show during 2022/2023, classes are limited to 2 per month until May 2023. Once you see a date you like, email us at classes@sushimakingforthesoul.com with the subject heading “In-person public class” with the date you prefer. Details about the class will be sent to you after receipt of payment. Deadline to register is 7 days prior to the class date. Book early as the classes historically sell out quickly.

WHAT ARE THE METHODS OF PAYMENT?

We do not accept credit card information over the phone or email. Here are the three methods of payment:
Request a CREDIT CARD invoice. We will issue one via Freshbooks. We accept all major credit cards and Apple Pay.

WHAT ARE MAIN MENU SUSHI ROLLS WE MAKE?

You will make a total of 4 rolls, based on four foundational sushi rolling methods.

WHAT ARE THE VEGETARIAN-VEGAN OPTIONS?

Vegetarian-Vegan ingredients include cucumber, avocado, mango, sautéed king oyster mushrooms, roasted-soy eggplant, seasoned carrots, sesame-spinach.

ARE THERE ANY ADD-ONS?

Yes. The following items can be purchased at the time you book the class. *Sushi add-ons cannot be replaced with the main menu items.
Spicy Salmon Roll $18 + HST
Unagi (Freshwater Eel) Roll $18 + HST
Shrimp Dynamite Roll $18 + HST

I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND ALLERGIES. DO YOU ACCOMMODATE THEM?

We try our best to accommodate all dietary restrictions and allergies. We do not use any nuts or dairy. We also offer gluten-free options. Please let us know during the registration process what dietary restrictions or allergies you have.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO PARTICIPATE?

The vast majority of participants are 18 years+. However, we welcome young guns (under the age of 12) as long as they have an adult taking the class with them. Regular pricing for all people no matter the age.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO THE CLASS?

Just your lovely self and an expectation that you will have a fun night out! However, because you will begin eating your first roll approximately 6:45pm, you may want to have a light snack before you arrive.

37 Advance Road, Unit 105. Between Kipling Ave. and Islington Ave., four blocks south of Bloor Street. Our facility is in the back of the complex.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes, and it’s free. There is parking lot behind the complex which faces our front door. Look for the APHRODITE COOKS sign.
